Il Cala Gonone Jazz Festival nasce nel 1988 come progetto dell’associazione “Intermezzo Nuoro”. Si svolge ogni anno nella località omonima situata nel meraviglioso golfo di Orosei (NU), nel periodo a cavallo tra luglio e agosto. Dalla sua nascita, la manifestazione ha avuto il piacere di ospitare i più grandi esponenti del panorama jazz internazionale, italiano e locale godendo della commistione delle sonorità più disparate. Dal 1988 l’associazione si è impegnata per superare ogni difficoltà e offrire al suo pubblico spettacoli di alto livello artistico, accompagnati da degustazioni di prodotti tipici sullo sfondo di una delle più belle località dell’isola.
