The famous caves that hosted the now legendary monk seal, have become over the years the usual destination of tourists by boat, with a short trip starting from the small pier of Cala Gonone you can visit them through the emerald waters there until the small pier entry of that cave cradled by the roar of the waves. Inside, its two main tunnels wind for about 5 km, ending in the small beach where the seals gave birth to their young. Inside you can admire some dancing figures engraved on the limestone walls and dating back to the Neolithic. Since 2013 the event Cala Gonone Jazz Festival has accepted the hospitality of this charming place considering it a second home, deciding to include in the schedule the morning concerts, definitely appreciated by the public, tourists and curious, artists and the same organization that found in the majestic entrance of the cave an adequate space with excellent acoustics. An enchanting dome separated from the world, where the musicians are overwhelmed and inspired by its natural sounds and by the sky painted on the ceiling thanks to the reflections of the sea.
