YELLOW JACKETS
Russell Ferrante Piano -Tastiere, Bob Mintzer Sax - Ewi Dane Alderson- Basso El., Will Kennedy –Batteria

Same night, at 22.00 always in the theater you cut the tape with the Yellow Jackets (Russell Ferrante- Piano / Keyboards, Bob Mintzer – Sax / Ewi, Dane Alderson – Electric Bass, Will Kennedy- Battery), historical and unstoppable jazz fusion band that for almost forty years has pursued its goal of revolutionizing the roots of the American folk song, exploring every form of expression.

The group arrives to tread the scenes in a moment of transition for jazz: when the genre began to move towards a more acoustic direction, they opted to experiment with every polyrhythm of blues, pop, R & B and jazz. With the entry of Bob Minzer on sax and Wlliam Kennedy on drums, the band undergoes a further artistic evolution towards an old school jazz skillfully adapted from electronic sounds of Ferrante to keyboards and Haslip to electric bass. Among numerous awards, their career continues uninterrupted with some substitutions in the staff until the entry of Dane Alderson, virtuoso of the electric bass in 2015.

In 2016 their latest effort comes out, Cohearence, defined by Ferrante as a work inside which “harmony, balance, symmetry and homogeneity” are hidden, introspective and personal in its mix of exciting classic aspects connected to a feeling belonging to the American tradition in full style Yellow Jackets.
