Cala Gonone Jazz Festival was founded in 1988 as a project of the "Intermezzo Nuoro" association. It takes place every year in the same name place located in the wonderful Golfo di Orosei (NU), between July and August.
Since the beginning, the event had the pleasure to host the main figures of jazz scene, both international and Italian, enjoying the mixture of different sounds.
During these 31 years, the association has been committed to overcoming every difficulties, offering to its public high-level artistic performances, accompanied by tastings of typical products in one of the most beautiful places on the island.
The history of Sardinia unfolds between invasions, rejections, self-determination and a culture that took on many aspects over the centuries.
Here, in the heart of the island, in a city that gave birth to a Nobel Prize, poets, writers and intellectuals who made known to the world Nuoro.
Intermezzo cultural association was born in 1988, the year of the first jazz festival in a place where no one would not bet on it.
Yet, after thirty years of music, local projects, events and culture, we are still here to discover new forms of art and entertainment, food & beverage and the enhancement of every aspect of our land and its potential in the international scene.

Everything is ready for the 32nd edition of the Cala Gonone Jazz Festival, the now usual event that will take place between Dorgali and Cala Gonone from 26 to 28 July, plus a small taste on 18 July at the Exma in Cagliari with the pianist trio Alberto Pibiri.
